CYO offers all youth sports and recreation programs emphasizing friendly competition through good sportsmanship "modeled" by adult participants, and to invite all participants, youth and adults, to share in the life of their church/faith in the community.

The CYO Sports program requires the service of volunteer leaders in order to serve the hundreds of boys and girls participating in the program. As an education agency of the Archdiocese of San Antonio, the Office of Youth Ministry/CYO has the responsibility to develop in its athletic leaders (coaches, commissioners, parish and zone presidents, and athletic directors) the Christian values which will enable them to be a positive role model and influence on the lives of the young people they serve through the Catholic Church in the CYO Sports Program.
It is the ultimate goal of any church-related ministry with young people, that they be led to a closer relationship with God and recognize themselves to be living examples of the values of Jesus.

Annunciation-CYO supports over 300 children registered in soccer, volleyball, track, tee-ball, baseball, and softball. The children range in age from 3 to 12.

An annual meeting occurs every July to elect new officers.

An annual fundraiser occurs every year during the spring.. This year's fundraiser is April 12th at the American Legion Hall.
