Sacramental Marriage is not just a contract
but the holy vocation of Christian life that all Christians need
to embrace and follow. According to Catholic marriage law, "A
valid and consummated marriage of baptized persons cannot be
dissolved by any human authority or any cause other than the
death of one of the persons." For this reason, young men and
women are encouraged to participate in the classes offered by
the Archdiocesan Office that will help them to plan their
lifetime commitment meaningfully and right.
These classes, called "Marriage - Journey of Faith" are being
offered on Sundays and during week, Monday through Friday.
Before making any reservation for Pre-cana or Engaged Encounter
classes, the coupe must make an initial contact with the parish
priest to learn about the sacramental marriage requirements and
assure the date of their wedding.
The Office of Family Life offers also a special program, called
"Retrouvaille" to help hurting couples to heal their wounds and
renew their love and commitment for one another.
